if you experience issues with SMART Notebook (or issues with it requesting an Activation Key), taking the following steps often resolves most issues:
First, simply check that SMART Notebook has all the required updates.
- Click on the Finder icon on your dock.
- Click on the "Applications" folder.
- Find the "SMART Technologies" Folder and double click on it to open
- There's another folder called "SMART Tools", double click to open it.
- Find the app called "SMART Product Update" and double click to open.
- Click the "Update" button.
After the update runs, try using SMART Notebook again.
If the previous steps did not resolve your issue, then you can try reinstalling SMART:
- Go to the Ladue Portal and click "Install Software"
- Search "SMART"
- Click the "Install" button next to "SMART Uninstaller"
- Wait about 5 Minutes
- Hold the "Control" key and click in the gray area of the "SMART Learning Suite" box.
- Click "Reinstall"
If this does not resolve your issue, let the helpdesk know and we will escalate the issue to the "FileWave Admin" team for a reinstall.
